Con game in the Gulf
Just when I think I've seen it all, the incompetence and dishonesty of the petrocracy ("rule by oil") boggles my mind.
Three facts:
1. The leak that BP is trying to plug is NOT the main source of the oil catastrophe. It's elsewhere and appears that is it not being addressed.
2. The amount of crude spilling into the Gulf daily is not 5,000 barrels a day
as reported - it appears to be over 100,000 barrels a day
3. The impact of this catastrophe could have been radically minimized by the timely application of existing technology - and BP and the US government are STILL not using it.
